Tim van der Leij's Impressive Transfer to VfB Stuttgart: "I Did Ask If It Was Too Soon"

Tim van der Leij, after one year playing professionally at Vitesse, has now officially joined VfB Stuttgart. He was confused about whether this step was too fast, but considered it a golden opportunity.

"Surprisingly, since I was little I always said to my father that I wanted to play in the Bundesliga. Now I'm going to Stuttgart, it's amazing," he recalled.
Even though Van der Leij has only been playing in the Keuken Kampioen Division for one year, he felt a little hesitant when making this big move to the Bundesliga club. "I also discussed it at home. Is it all too soon? Should I wait a little longer? But this is such a good opportunity, I couldn't pass it up. Who knows if they'll be back next year? I have to take this opportunity. That's how I feel."
