Zakaria Aboukhlal returned to Torino to undergo tests on his kidney condition after undergoing surgery. Club management hopes that his recovery can be complete before discussing his future.
Moroccan winger Zakaria Aboukhlal has returned early to Filadelfia's training base to start the new season with Torino, in accordance with the agreement made with the club's management. Aboukhlal finished last season prematurely due to arthroscopic knee surgery performed in April, followed by rehabilitation in Amsterdam that did not produce the expected results.
Currently, Aboukhlal is undergoing a series of physical tests and clinical examinations led by the club's medical staff. They will assess whether the knee joint problem has resolved and determine the appropriate exercise program for recovery. The results of this examination will determine whether the player can immediately join the team in pre-season preparations or must continue the recovery program gradually.
