The Iranian federation has filed a complaint with FIFA regarding restrictions disrupting its team's preparations for the match against Belgium in the 2026 World Cup.
ANSA-AFP - TIJUANA, JUNE 18 - The Iranian Federation filed a complaint with FIFA over the "restrictions" that have been applied to their national team during the 2026 World Cup. These restrictions, according to the Iranian side, have prevented the team from preparing properly ahead of the match against Belgium in Los Angeles. An official from the Iranian national team revealed that they were only allowed to arrive in Los Angeles "one day before the match", instead of two days as expected. This was followed by the United States refusing to grant visas to several members of the Iranian team's coaching staff to participate in this tournament.
