However, Rudi Völler, former German national team coach, provided support for Julian Nagelsmann. Völler stated, "He's still a great coach. He's a fighter, he'll regroup after this painful defeat and be ready to attack again. I know a lot of people won't understand after we were knocked out like this. I still believe he's probably the right person to continue, but I'm not the DFB alone – it's not my decision alone."
