Giovanni Carnevali, Juventus' new director, explains the situation regarding Dusan Vlahovic, Tarik Muharemovic, Fabio Miretti and Jhon Lucumi, as well as the club's attitude towards possible transfers.

Juventus' new director, Giovanni Carnevali, stated that he had "never spoken" to Dusan Vlahovic despite opening up the possibility for the future. In his statement, Carnevali also provided the latest news regarding Tarik Muharemovic, Fabio Miretti and Jhon Lucumi.

Carnevali, who previously served as CEO of Sassuolo, recently took over from Damien Comolli and represented the club at the opening of the Serie A transfer market. In an interview with Sky Sport Italia, Carnevali discussed the situation of Vlahovic, whose contract expires on June 30 and has been offered a contract extension on a lower salary.

"Personally, I never spoke to him. Everything is possible in football, there are possibilities tomorrow that don't exist today. He is an important player, but at the moment he is not in our thoughts," added Carnevali.

There is talk of a possible swap between midfielder Miretti and defender Lucumi with Bologna, although Bologna are still far from their asking price for Miretti. "I don't think it will be easy to reach this deal. First of all because we believe in Miretti, and we feel he has a certain value in the market," explained Carnevali.

"At the moment, we don't have the right conditions to sell him, especially since we don't need to make a sale at the moment. The same goes for Lucumi, who has a release clause of €28 million. We believe that he is an important player and could be interesting for us, but not in these conditions."

The Colombia international is currently playing in the World Cup and has long been linked with Juventus. Apart from that, Muharemovic's name also appeared on Juventus' radar, which is quite an interesting situation considering that he was once in their academy. Juventus sold the Bosnia and Herzegovina international to Sassuolo in 2025 for €2 million, but retained 50 percent of any future sale fee.

Interestingly, Carnevali was the director who negotiated the deal for Sassuolo and is now on the other side representing Juventus. "Muharemovic is a player I know very well, so we know what he can do and his great potential. We have to think about what kind of offers there are, because we still have 50 percent of him. In this case, we will evaluate the possible opportunities especially if selling abroad, but at the same time we are monitoring him, because he could be interesting for Juventus."
