Liverpool Ready to Offer Package Close to €100 Million for Yan Diomande
June 26, 2026 · Global
Liverpool are planning to make an offer approaching €100 million for RB Leipzig striker Yan Diomande, despite Leipzig trying to keep hold of the talented youngster.
Liverpool have stepped up their efforts to sign RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande, expressing a willingness to offer a package approaching €100m (£86.8m; $115m) for the Ivory Coast youngster. This is an improvement on previous proposals by the Premier League club during dialogue with their Bundesliga counterparts regarding the financial constraints they were prepared to take on Diomande.
However, there is no desire on the part of Leipzig to see Diomande leave — they want to extend his contract — and this latest package from Liverpool will not be acceptable to the German side. It is estimated that it will cost more than €130 million to change Leipzig's attitude. Paris Saint-Germain remain in contention but have not made an offer to Leipzig pending Diomande's decision on which club he wants to join.
The French champions were also reported by the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity to maintain relations, to be behind Liverpool at the moment in terms of personal terms offered to the 19-year-old. Therefore, Liverpool are currently in a strong position, although they are continuing to explore more options if a deal cannot materialize.

Among the names being considered are Brighton & Hove Albion's Yankuba Minteh, FC Koln's Said El Mala and Lille's Matias Fernandez-Pardo. The Athletic reported on June 4 that Liverpool are in the strongest position to sign Diomande and have contacted Leipzig as part of their efforts.
Diomande missed just one Bundesliga game this season, on international call-up, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in 33 league appearances as Leipzig finished third and qualified for the Champions League. Diomande was part of Ivory Coast's World Cup squad this summer and started his country's first game of the tournament, against Ecuador, on Sunday.
As a debut appearance in the World Cup, Yan Diomande couldn't have hoped for more. Just 19 years old, the Ivorian was clearly the most influential and flashy player on the pitch as his country cruised to a 1-0 win over Ecuador. He initially messed up the right side, then switched to the left, full of passion and ideas throughout the match, similar to his incredible early professional career performances.
Nearly 18 months ago, Diomande played for DME Sports Academy in Florida. Even at this time last year, he was a relatively unknown figure, despite RB Leipzig shelling out €20 million for his services, after just 500 minutes played for Spanish club Leganes at the end of the 2024-25 season. However, Diomande seems to be enjoying the spotlight. He is a dribbler full of positive energy, and his extraordinary talent attracts the attention of the audience. He took more touches, attempted more dribbles and created more chances than his Ivory Coast teammates against Ecuador, leaving a trail of dominance and a stirring dribbling approach on every attack.
