Lequincio Zeefuik Joins Fortuna Sittard

Lequincio Zeefuik (21) will play for Fortuna Sittard next season. This club from Limburg borrowed the young striker from AZ for one season. Zeefuik previously spent half of last season with Heracles Almelo and is now continuing his career at Sittard. "I am very enthusiastic to start this new adventure with Fortuna," said Zeefuik on the club's official website. "The club's early interest made me feel confident. I felt it also during the conversations with the technical director and head coach. I will give everything for the club next season and hope to create a beautiful and successful season together." Technical director Joris Mathijsen welcomed Zeefuik's arrival. "He is a physically strong and dynamic striker who fits the way we want to play," explained Mathijsen of the striker who scored two goals in fourteen games with Heracles. At AZ, Zeefuik recorded one goal in 24 matches.
