According to the information obtained, the Catalan club admits that the possible transfer of the 31-year-old midfielder will reduce playing time for a number of young players, especially Fermín López, Gavi and Marc Bernal. At Barcelona, the development of young players is considered more important than utilizing Silva's quality and experience. In addition, the high salary requested by the Portuguese player could put Barcelona in a difficult position.
