Atletico Files Complaint to FIFA Regarding Julián Álvarez Transfer

Atletico Madrid officially started legal proceedings against Barcelona. The reason for the complaint to FIFA was discussions that Atletico management deemed unauthorized with striker Julián Álvarez. Atletico's Director General, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, responded to the Madrid club's position by accusing Barcelona of violating transfer regulations. "Our responsibility is to protect Atletico's interests, and that is why we will file a complaint with FIFA against Barcelona for talks with a player who had an active contract during the protected period," said Marín as reported by Fabrizio Romano on social media Atletico plan to prove that Barcelona have breached this point of regulation in their bid to sign the Argentinian forward.
